I’ve decided that, along with my artwork, I’m also going to try to remaster the shows I publish. In this case, it was just a test of what I could do. At first, I used Izotope RX 10 and then switched to a more precise application, SpectraLayers 11. In my opinion, the sound came out well. I applied:
– Demix song: Increase the percussion, vocals, and bass. I left the guitar the same; it already sounded loud in the recording.
– De-click: Eliminate most of the click.
– Demix crowd noise: I was looking to eliminate most of the audience noise, something that’s almost impossible in this type of recording. Instead of reducing the audience noise, in the crowd option, I increased it to between 5 and 6 and the foreground noise to 3. By increasing these two, you can hear Bruce’s voice better, since it’s quite hidden in the recording.
I hope you like it, and I hope to continue doing it, since it’s a bit of a stretch between making the artwork and the remaster.
I’m leaving you with a preview of a project I’m almost finished with: a box set of four shows from the 2024 tour, specifically the two concerts in Chile and Brazil. All the shows will be remastered to improve their sound.
Finally, you know this is made by fans for fans, and no one should put it up for sale, since there’s a website (rockinconcerts) that seems to take concerts from G101 and Dime. This is done for free.

I saw this cassette when pulling out handfuls and said “I recorded Iron Maiden in 1982?” The Priest recording was such a highlight I totally forgot about it. It was not until I saw the date I realized it was the famous Judas Priest show. No wonder it was sold out. Although I admit I am not much of a fan all these years. His voice is always buried in the band. I do think his voice is very good just wish they would turn it up more of a focal point. This actually is not too bad. I will be playing this on my best stereo with the buddies and beer! Enjoy, RB
I should point out I missed the first song. I do not believe they played drifter like Setlist.fm says.
**Everything I do for my stereo room and gear is carefully chosen for the finest of quality control. This means A to B comparisons for EVERYTHING! I leave no stone unturned. I decide if what I do will end up being a more musical experience and not the opposite like more processed sounding. I split hairs!! I have learned what is more musical from all the decades of listening to differences. Stereo and audio gear is not nearly as subjective as people make it out to be. It is either more musical or more processed sounding at the end of the day. One more thing I learned, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS THE SAME! Practically the same yes! The same, NO! So with this all said…..I thank all the people here for the great compliments since I came here in 2006. It means a lot to me after decades of sleepless nights and stressful days carrying in top shelve equipment every time out!**
PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ON THE 24 BIT 192 KHZ RESOLUTION!!! IF YOU WANT TO UPLOAD A CD FORMAT GO KNOCK YOURSELF OUT. JUST PUT A COPY OF THE TEXT DESCRIPTION AND PUT THIS LINK IN THE FIRST FEW COMMENTS!
With every digital transfer the master tapes become obsolete. If you try any which way to transfer them again they won’t sound as good. As long as there are ample backups of course there is no need for them.
